Part two in a sequence of five songs telling the age-old story of boy meets girl, boy leaves girl and goes off in search of work, boy and girl meet up again and start life in a new country. With his Bangla lyrics, Masud Ahamed provided what he called a 'gist of each song in English’. Intrigued, David Bradford produced a condensed version of the whole cycle, the 'chanson des gistes':
